FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS

PLEASE REACH OUT TO US WITH ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS.

What Is Concierge Medicine?

Our type of practice has been called Boutique Medicine, Retainer Medicine, and Concierge Medicine. The patient pays an annual fee that is generally not covered by insurance and the doctor will be available when the patient needs to be seen. This allows the doctor to have a very limited number of patients and therefore is able to give the patients plenty of time to listen to the patient and solve their health care issues.

How Many Patients Does Dr. Davis Have?

At Park Cities Personal Physicians, the number of patients is limited to just 100 patients. This is in contrast to a typical primary care physician who may have 3,000-5,000 active patients and allows us to fully focus on each unique patient. Further, other Concierge Practices tend to have 2 systems: one for their regular clients and one for those who pay a premium. At PCPP, we believe that all clients deserve special, personalized care and need not worry about Dr. Davis being preoccupied with other patients.

What About Referrals To Specialists?

Dr. Davis works very hard to find specialists who match well with a particular patient. Over time she has found a “short list” of physicians who work well with her and who can understand the needs of her elite clientele. She will make sure the specialist has all the records prior to the consultation and will follow up with phone calls whenever necessary.

Can I Use My Insurance To Pay The Annual Fee?

Most insurers do not cover Dr. Davis’ annual fee. Some patients have been able to have their employers pay all or part of the fee but each patient needs to contact their company individually to see if that is possible.

What Does The Fee Cover?

The fee generally covers: House calls, comprehensive physical exams, urinalysis, rapid strep test, audiometry, EKG’s, some vaccines, blood draws, body fat measurement, preventative health visits, well child visits, office visits, annual female exam and more.

Does Dr. Davis Do Pediatrics?

Dr. Davis is Board Certified in Family Medicine and takes care of patients age 2 and up. Dr. Davis enjoys taking care of the whole family and has some families with 4 generations.

Do I Still Need Insurance?

Yes. Patients still need insurance for lab tests, imaging studies, hospitalizations, and other expenses. A patient can still use their insurance for all of these things and it works just like it works in any other practice.

Does Dr. Davis Accept Medicare?

Dr. Davis has opted out of Medicare. Lab tests, x-rays, etc. will still generally be covered by Medicare, but Dr. Davis’s fee is not covered by Medicare.
